Robots are positioned next to the press, usually on the operator’s side, with lateral entry/exit movements.
This kinematic solution significantly speeds up the overall cycle of picking up and placing the molded parts (performed by an external device).
Side entry robots are particularly useful when there is insufficient space above the press. The main movement of entering/exiting the mold and external stacking is carried out by servo-controlled axes.
The movement for part extraction can be performed pneumatically or electrically.
